ALKAN AVCIOĞLU

Born in Turkey in 1982, Alkan Avcıoğlu is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker working with artificial intelligence, whose background spans film criticism, electronic music, and academic research. In 2022, he shifted his multifaceted career to focus on AI’s storytelling potential, quickly gaining acclaim for his distinct visual language and conceptual depth in his collections. Avcıoğlu’s work has been exhibited worldwide, and he became one of the first AI artists exhibited at major traditional art fairs such as Paris Photo, Art Basel, Zona Maco, and Vogue Photo. His works have been acquired by museums and prominent collectors, and he was featured in Christie’s inaugural AI art auction. In 2025 he directed Post Truth, the first AI-generated feature documentary film in the history. Most recently Avcıoğlu collaborated with world- renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky.
