IN VISIBLE "İÇSEL GÖRÜNÜMLER"
Is the human body a boundary or a point of transition? How do emotions, thoughts, and desires hidden beyond the visible find expression in the movements and layers of the body? “Inner Visions” seeks a visual response to these questions. “Inner Visions” aims to explore the multilayered nature of time and reality, as well as the human being’s visible and invisible existence. Combining photography’s testimony to reality with the abstract interpretive power of painting, it invites the viewer into both an individual and collective inner world. The intertwined body figures symbolize not only physical existence but also mental and emotional integration. Each layer reveals a new aspect of a person’s relationship with oneself and their surroundings while also connecting with different states of time. Time is not a straight line; it is a multilayered and intertwined phenomenon. The movements and forms of the body visualize the simultaneous presence of the past, present, and future. As Henri Bergson expressed: “Time is a flow in which everything is in continuous transformation. Reality gains meaning only through this transformation.” This transformation reveals the multilayered nature of human
existence and the continuously changing reality within. This also resonates with the words of art philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty: “Without understanding the body, we can neither understand the world nor ourselves in the world; the body is the doorway to existence.” “Inner Visions” approaches the body not merely as a physical entity but as a reflection of the human being’s inner depths and unseen emotional realities. It transcends the boundaries of the body, confronts the invisible, and examines
the human’s multilayered existence and connection to time. “Inner Perspectives” is an invitation to discover the realities beyond the visible.
